In April 1992 Capital Citybus bought three second-hand Scania single-deckers from Kettlewells of Retford,
painted them yellow with red lining and numbered them 763, 764 and 770, the fleetnumbers linking to the registration numbers.
The first two were K92CRBs with solid-looking East Lancs bodywork, and dated from the winter of 1986-7,
while the last was a K93CRB and had more rounded Plaxton Derwent bodywork.
It was relatively new, dating only from March 1989.
